I had that problem here in New Orleans with earthlink before they decided to take their toys and go home. If its tropos and you are just having problems in a particular area you can make the nodes change channels. I was told every so often they change channels automatically depending on the interference in the area. I was having problems in two areas but after turning up the power for a few days or so I noticed it made the tropos change and all was clear after that. Worked for me.
