Hey Ken,

Do you know how to find out which areas will be exempted?

Thanks,

Richard M.

To all,

Dawn started up the FCC stream this morning and from what I can tell, the FCC is giving us the 3650-3700MHZ spectrum with some restrictions. From what I have heard there will be certain areas that will be exempted to protect the current users. There will be a licensing mechanism (complete with electronic filing) but no cost was specifically mentioned. These licenses will be for a ten year term that is renewable.

I haven't heard any mention of the level of output power or several other important regulations.

I need you to know, this does appear to have been officially announced and adopted.

Next up on the hearings is Cognitive Radios.

I will keep you all informed.

Respectfully,

Ken DiPietro
