[snip] Hey Doug,I'm using the latest 1.8 CB3 firmware but I read the problem is with the card itself. I keep getting a programming error when I update the firmware using my laptop. Did you try looking at Jun Sun's site that I linked to from my page? It has a link to download WinUpdate 0.7.0 and various different firmware files (primary and station) for Prism II/2.5. http://linux.junsun.net/intersil-prism/ WinUpdate is at: http://linux.junsun.net/intersil-prism/WinUpdate-0-7-0.exe The CB3 has a Prism 2.5 card in it. I recommend that you grab the following firmware images: Primary firmware 1.1.1 for Prism 2.5: http://linux.junsun.net/intersil-prism/firmware/1.7.4/pk010101.hex Secondary/station 1.8.0 for Prism 2.5: http://www.netgate.com/support/prism_firmware/SF010800.HEX Update both the primary and secondary *at the same time*. Although you can update just the secondary firmware if you so desire, *DON'T* update just the primary firmware; the card "forgets" it has secondary firmware on there when you do that! If you need a Windows driver for that card in order to flash it, this one from Engenius should work: http://www.engeniustech.com/datacom/W_Support_download.aspx?DType=driver&FileName=V.802.zip And for those that missed it: http://users.moscow.com/nathana/hijack/ http://isp-lists.isp-planet.com/isp-wireless/0411/msg00049.html (yes, the CB3 problem and the YDI problem is one and the same) -- Nathan Anderson First Step Internet, Inc. nathana@... _______________________________________________________________ ** ISPCON Fall 2004 - Santa Clara Convention Center ** ** The ISP and WISP event - http://www.ispcon.com ** ** Fill your brain.
