Cat-5 Shield Grounding?
Anyone recommend a decent way to ground the cat-5 aluminum shielding? I
want it connected to a grounding pigtail that we can connect to a
grounding block before it enters the facility. We'll also have
lightning protection indoors via a cat-5 lightning protector.

I'm also thinking about double grounds and double lightning protection,
but we are also running PoE so I want to make sure that the lightning
protection works in both directions:

Radio -- cat-5 lightning protector -- 100' cat-5 -- cat-5 lightning
protector -- PoE injector

Anyone see any problems with the lightning protector this way? I want
to make sure that if the surge is from about the middle of the cat-5
cable, that the lightning protectors will protect both the radio and the
indoor equipment (PoE, power supplies, hub, APC masterswitch, etc). Or
should I only use one cat-5 lightning protector and/or not worry about
the sheild being grounded near the radio, just where it enters the
building?

I'll also ground the sheild before the lightning protector enters the
building and the outdoor box that houses the radio.
