+1. Go to google.com
+2. Type in "verisign" or "network solutions" and one of: nightmare
+customer service horror transfer conflict renewal spam telemarket
+3. Read
+
+A few hours' perusing of just a few of the stories you'll find should
+tell most of the tale. The summary is that NSI been handed a monopoly
+on a plate, charges about 10000% of the actual cost of service to its
+customers, makes it as hard as possible to contact them, makes it as
+hard as possible to get them to do anything, makes it was hard as possible
+to transfer domains away from them, lies, confiscates domains when it
+feels like it, hoards domains, spams, sends deliberately deceptive
+"domain renewal" notices to people who are not its customers, and is
+generally responsible for the idiotic state of the domain name system
+at the moment (since decisions made were motivated by greed, not by
+sane management of the namespace).
+
+And that's just the tip of the iceberg.

You forgot the other things, namely medical conditions, that the webhosting
public
and any of their former customers now associate with Network
Solutions/VeriSign:

1. Male Pattern Baldness
2. Premature ejaculation
3. Sleep Apnea
4. Gallstones
5. Ulcers
6. The heartbreak of Psoriasis
7. Chronic Hemorrhoids
8. Gastric Ulcers
9. Prostrate Cancer
10. Irritable Bowel Syndrome
11. Permanent Insomnia
12. Habitual Divorce
13. Sexual Dysfunction
14. Temporary to Permanent Insanity

I can say without any doubt that Network Solutions and VeriSign are/were
absolutely
positively the most horrible, incompetent, fraudulent, criminal company I
have
ever had the misfortune of being forced to do business with except perhaps
for one
other entity, the IRS, which might be worse but at least have an excuse
being a government agency.

What's really pitiful is that the Executive Management of Verisign/Network
Solutions will do doubt
eventually read nice testimonials like this one as well as thousands of
other negative postings
about their company and STILL they do absolutely NOTHING to improve their
company or it's image.
