According to a German web page that lists OE errors, this is SMTP_SYNTAX_ERROR 
- the 500 error code is returned by the server, and OE is just passing it on.

Why is your mail server claiming "spam"?

Thwack them on the head with a manager or two. If you don't have access to 
them, it's obviously not part of your job.

By the way, if I can ever get to that page, I'm going to mirror it as the 
German site is dog-slow. In fact, it's not responding at all.
