The MAX-4000 chassis wasn't what determined v34 or v90.  It was the TAOS and
the modem blades.

The above configuration assumes BRIs from the telco instead of PRIs (Basic
Rate Interface 2B+D) instead of (Primary Rate Interface 23B+D).  Eight BRIs
will give you sixteen inbound lines and must be configured for hunting.
Sixteen lines, thus a 16 port 56K modem card to terminate the analog calls
on.  This configuration is a bit tricky so I'd suggest sticking with a PRI
from the telco and not worrying about the BRIs.
