Mac and Outlook Express
We have a customer using Mac OS 9, Outlook Express
5.02. He is dialing into a Qwest pop, and can pull
pages just fine, so we know he is connected. In fact,
he can also receive mail. To send mail, all of our
customers must use SMTP authentication, and we have
enabled this on his Mac. However, he gets this error
when he tries to send mail to someone other than
himself (he can send test messages to himself without
issues):

"A message in the outbox cannot be sent. The server
did not recognize the recipient."

Explanation: "not local host domain.net, not a
gateway"

Error 5550

I looked up error 5550 on a mac page, it refers to
some "unspecific error" - whatever that means.

We can send mail from this customer's account on a PC,
using Outlook Express 5, but we have the same issue on
our Mac.

Any ideas?

Chris
