Peter,

I think, we're talking PPP, and then he won't get a /24 subnet.
It is usually a /32 subnet, for which stands the 255.255.255.255
This has nothing to do with a broadcast-address. And bc the /32, the only
possible gateway for, is the same Ip once again.
The rest of the way is routed down the dial-in router (AC).
And no matter, if it comes from DHCP, or DNS or Radius, or elsewhere, almost
all PPP or PPPoE connections will get only a single IP on a /32 subnet. The
rest is part of the PPP/PPPoE server.
