RE: Default Gateway
Actually it's usually the provider's radius server that assigns the gateway

i have to disagree
you need the default gateway and you need it same as the IP adress, it tells
the OS to send every packet out that interface
else :

IP Address: 172.135.35.162
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.255
Default Gateway : none

you would only be able to reach yourself

but it is usualy defined by the provider's DHCP

on an other case :
you can also use gateway = IP adress if you're on a lan (with a hub) and the
router to the internet has proxy-arp on it's interface, it'll work (it is
not recomanded but it'll work)
