[isp-marketing] Other revenue opportunities... Was: ISP Solutions
Most of your traditional business will come from either being a reseller or
an affiliate. Depending on the program there are one-time payoffs as well as
residuals on renewals. The latter is the better of the two for obvious
reasons, but either choice will earn additional revenue for the xISP.

These programs have been around for some sometime now; we are in our seventh
year of utilizing such programs. As a xISP, the best way to utilize and
create the exposure for sales is to have a home page were the xISP's
customers could get webmail, support, updates and company news. But the key
is to only have such links off of the home page whereas each section would
be a mirror of that home page.

The webmail, support and company news page etc. would have your marketing
collateral of additional products and services. The key objective here is to
get the quality face time you should have with your customers each time they
use your service. Repetitive exposure will provide greater sales
opportunities and will provide the customer a level of trust that comes from
purchasing products and services their xISP offers.

This is were the xISP has lost touch with many of its customers and by
offering additional services, they could even retain a relationship when the
customer for example leaves the xISP's dialup for a broadband service, if
the xISP did not offer it. One example is an offering of low cost LD; you
still have an interest in this customer and continued relationship. This
continued relationship provides additional sales opportunities for other
things
