[isp-marketing] RE: who's liable? was RE: just FYI,breaking anti-spam law news
The law says that business profiting from spam or participating from it or
who should know about the spam (language I believe intended to target those
whose products are sold through spam) is so vague that some companies in the
transmission path might be liable. Maybe not generic ISPs, but perhaps
e-mail specialist companies or anyone advertising "bulletproof" e-mail.

We're talking up 3 to 5 years in jail and up to $1 million in fines,
possibly plus legal fees, with the money multiplied under certain
circumstances.

So which e-mail companies are guilty?
