[isp-marketing] The time is now
In case you haven't noticed, fall is here. This is the beginning of the
busy season for ISP's and if you haven't started an advertising program yet
you best be getting busy. From now until mid February is traditionally the
busiest time of year and you need to capitalize on the consumer interest by
advertising.

Many businesses seem to think that the time to advertise is when business is
slow, and that when things pick up you don't need to advertise.
Unfortunately that thinking is wrong. First of all you need to have some
sort of marketing presence throughout the year, but spend the bulk of your
marketing dollar during the busy season.

Look at toy sales. Manufacturers of toys do very little marketing
throughout the year, but starting in October they want to capitalize on the
Christmas buying rush and they begin some very heavy, (intense),
advertising. They bombard children with ads about games, dolls, toys, and
electronic stuff that the kids just have to have to be cool. The
manufacturers advertise when sales are going to be good without advertising
in an effort to increase those sales.

You should follow that same philosophy.

Do some radio, (as most of you know I am a big believer in talk radio), or
direct mail, or heck even stand out on the street corner handing out flyers.
The point is, get your name in front of your potential customer. Do it
when there is an increased likelihood that they are interested. Do it now,
you don't really have a lot of time.

If you want some insight into various marketing subjects you might want to
take a look at some of my articles; they can be found at

I wish you all success in all your marketing efforts.
