Heck, i just had an interview for someone to do a large 802.11b indoor deployment. I was quoted 50/hr 1099 for my time there. I said that's a little low, but asked what kinda experience they wanted. I have extensive experience and 5+ years doing wireless and Cisco. So after asking the guy what they wanted it looked like i was a good fit, and we scheduled an interview. Well got there and they wanted some one with 2 years working with Cisco WLSM. This was a major sticking point. This is a 6500 card that manages all 802.11b traffic, and costs like 12k. also you need a sup 720 in the 6500 too! I am familiar with it, but have never used one (never had the 50k to buy one!). I mean it's IOS, give me a manual and 5 hours I'll know it inside and out. Well I doubt they will find some one with that kinda experience for 50/hr, it will be more like 125/hr or so. -- Bryan Fields __________________________________________________ ISPCON Fall 2005 - October 18-20, Santa Clara, CA FREE EXHIBITS ONLY PASS AVAILABLE NOW! www.ispcon.com ISPCON in Baltimore was jumping!
