Re: Spam:****, Re: [isp-linux] Way OT: Employees

I am done with this topic. I am this way because I am qualified, and
people keep playing around with me. I am coming across this way,
because I have a right to. After doing all that i have, and answering
questions so precisely, that they were visibly impressed, and then
having to call two months later to even get them to send me a letter. I
am more than justified in my frustration with the unprofessional nature
of the work place here in Richmond. Especially when these people have
specifically stated that I am getting the job, and that they would be
calling in a few days, to make an offer, after checking references. And
they never even check my references, so they were just lying. This one
company had me interview for a job that did not even exist. They called
me the next day to let me know that they forgot that the job was 8am-3pm
and not 8pm to 8am. But I am being unreasonable, in my disgust with
this type of treatment, right????
Actually you just sound kind of bitter and hostile and while someone may be qualified for a job technically, there can easily be interaction issues that will keep them from being well suited to the position. The amount of bitterness and vitriol in your short communications with the list is enough that if I were interviewing people and had your two recent postings as evidence of your interaction with people, I'd be hesitant to give a callback.

But that's just my opinion.

At least you're very well spoken (well...written?); I don't have any difficulty reading your prose. That in itself is a skill disappearing from new job applicants now.

I have little doubt that you're qualified for such positions; but please, try reading back the last two messages you sent to the list and see if you can tell where people who never heard from you before may see that you're giving a rather hostile first impression...you have every right to be peeved at the people who jerked you around in job interviews, but that was them, not the people on this list.
