The right to line share is not lost, it is only lost under Section 251
of the Telco Act of 1996.  Whether it remains under Section 271 is a
matter of ongoing litigation, but the current law of the land in at
least some jurisdictions is that lineshare is a requirement for any
ILEC which sells long distance in its own territory...
