FROM: Patrick O. Okonjo (Barr.) Okonjo & Co. Chambers #2, Ajose Adeogun Street, Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria. I obtained your email address from an international resource. I am contacting you as a last resort to solving an impending predicament, believing that you will assist me. I am Patrick Okonjo, a solicitor at law, attorney to late Francis N. Rich, an expatriate staff of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) for 18years, who died alongside his wife and their only daughter in a ghastly car accident along the Third Mainland Bridge express road in 2001. My client had died intestate (without a written Will). Having known and worked for Francis Rich since 1993, I never heard of nor met any of his extended family besides his wife Norma and daughter Laura. Since this tragic event, I have made frantic efforts at the embassy here to locate any of my client's extended relatives or contacts, this has proven unsuccessful. PROPOSITION: I have contacted you to assist me in the claim of funds belonging to Francis Rich valued at US$10.5 million before it is confiscated or declared unserviceable by the United Bank For Africa here in Lagos-Nigeria where this amount had been deposited over his years of service. As his attorney and administrator to his estate, the bank had on Monday issued me the final notice to present the next of kin to the deceased or have his money handed over to the Federal Inland Revenue Service within the next twenty-one working days being 27th of September in accordance with their banking guidelines. With this recent notice by the bank, I have become somewhat anxious to do all I can to save the situation. I am therefore proposing to present you as next of kin to Francis Rich at the bank. In doing this, we can both make a legal claim to his estate, including the interest accrued so far on the deposit. On receipt of your affirmative response, I shall intimate you with the modalities for the claim and subsequent disbursement of the funds. With your profile which you will send to me, and other information i have of my client, l can present you as his recently found relative and therefore Legatee to his estate. It is for this course that i secured an Order of Mandamus from the Probate registry to locate any of his beneficiaries. All I require from you is your honest co-operation to enable me see this through. I guarantee that this will be highly rewarding to us both and will be executed under legitimate arrangements that will protect us from any breach of the law or other inconveniences. Please get in touch with me on my direct phone line 234-803-3074-094 or mail me at okonjo@sify.com An urgent response will be humbly appreciated. Thank you.
