I have to say I think it would be a pretty braindead registrar who accepted
two DNS servers with the same IP address. The object of stipulating two is
that they have different IP addresses, hopefully on different networks so
that, if one goes down, the other is still available. And by one going down
I mean more than the server going down. If any of the underlying infra-
structure goes down, the server is down.
Two servers with the same address can admittedly sit on two separate subnets
but they sit behind the same routers, firewall, load balancers, switches. You
have _very_ marginally improved your redundancy by having two physical
machines.
