Somebody else's domain is broke. This is depressingly common.
A "lame server" is a name server which has been delegated authority for a
domain name by a parent but which believes it is not authoritative for that
domain name. Sometimes this is the parent's fault; sometimes it is the
domain owner's fault; sometimes it is the server operator's fault.
A "dangling CNAME" is a CNAME which points to a non-existent or otherwise
bogus domain name.
