We were running bind 4.9.5 over win2000. We have moved to 9.x.x. I have a number of users who have hard coded their dns entries (not sure how many ). Every one of them. It's the only way to specify a DNS We would like to advise them of the change and move them before decommissioning the old server. They all have to change IP of the DNS in the tcp/ip configs. can't you run the new DNS at the old ip?
