This isn't NetSol, Per se - it's Verisign at the registry level
(NetSol = Verisign essentially I know) but what this means is that
*all* Domain Names can enter Redemption Period. You can redeem the
Domain Name through the registrar that held it when it expired at
their price. I believe Verisign charges them something like $60-85. It's
a manual process at Verisign, so it takes a little while and they
claim that's why it costs so much.
I have successfully redeemed a domain name - so it can be done, it all
depends how good your registrar is - good litmus test ;)
It's a heinous money making scam by Verisign and I can't believe
they've got away with implementing it. God bless ICANN. Or something.
Best,
Jero
