[isp-dns] Re: domain registered, but expired
Godaddy now does this also. It's purgatory for domain names.

Netsol also has a nice little scam going called the "redemption period".
If you're domain name expires, after a period of time it enters
"redemption period", where they will begin to accept new orders for the
domain name, and at the end of the redemption period will award the
domain name to a new bidder, unless you (as the domain name owner) pony
up $150, or something like that.
We have one customer who is dealing with that because they never
recieved the renewal notice from Netsol, and now owe $150 before they
can renew the domain name to get it out of "redemption" state.
