[isp-dns] Re: isp-dns digest: April 02, 2003
Zone Pull Error :


When i do dig @ns zone axfr , it pulls the zone file.

After modifying named.conf , and restarting named, I see following errors

refresh_Callback : zone (name)/IN: failuure for ns (ip address)53:  timed
out


refresh_Callback : zone (name)/IN:ns(ip address)53: retries exceeded.


Any help to debug will be appreciated

If you're not averse to commercial software:

QuickDNS 4.5 from Men and Mice (http://www.menandmice.com) has a new Web
UI
(previous versions relied solely on a Windows/Mac client admin program).

A better bet is to look into bind-dlz and then see what interface might be
adaptable to it.

bind-dlz lets you dynamically load/unload/update zones. It's quite nifty
and Rob has done a great job on it.
