The fact that they're charging $20/yr for a service most registrars have limbo-ed to less than $12/yr ($USD) with the same, or more services, is probably a reason why they're losing. The only reason they have the lions share is ebcause they had a monopoly, and now they don't the piranhas are eatign them alive. --On Thursday, January 23, 2003 7:30 AM -0500 Ed Clarke <clarke@...> wrote: Whoa! Take a look at: http://www.registrarstats.com/Default.asp#GraphAndCompare and select the three month view of registrar changes. It looks like every time verisign sends out a bill they lose another bunch of customers! I guess that I'm not the only one that they are screwing over. Their market share is huge, but losing 44000 customers per month is catastrophic. What the hell can they be thinking??? Their stock holders will form a lynch mob if this keeps up... On the bright side, GoDaddy is picking up 95000 customers per month. They must be doing something right.
