I was planning on staying out of the whole "Who is the best registrar?" 
debate, and the "Is Verisign competent?" debate, but I had to share this.

I just heard from one of our customers that Versign is now sending out 
renewal notices that contain an Outlook vulnerability in them.  Although 
they do not contain any dangerous code, they are getting stopped by virus 
scanners, so many Verisign customers will now no longer get their renewal 
notices (or if they do, they'll get new viruses as well).

So now a whole slew of new innocent victims will lose their domains to 
Verisign's horde of expired domains that it won't release and plans to 
auction off.
