Gabriel, I have already posted a reply to a similar question on the list few days ago, so since I hate to repeat my self in public :) here is the pointer: http://isp-lists.isp-planet.com/isp-caching/0307/msg00029.html Of course the post refers to US and EU, but I would suggest, if you do have such concerns, to consult with a lawyer that specializes with these issues and the applicable laws of your country. Of course, as any caching solution, even the web caching, certain types of content that flow through the proxies and _do_ get stored as well, are not just illegal from the point of copyright, but also from the other criminal points of view (i.e. child pornography just to mention the one that disgust me the most as a person and a parent). But nevertheless you cannot do anything about it as it is not your position to do so. You would be breaching into the user privacy and, I don't know the laws of in your country, but I doubt that they would expect _you_ to play the policeman. On the other hand, a better example: If you are running a news server, do you store/cache alt.binaries.mp3 group? ... Got it? Best, Ranko PS: With regards to the question about the file encoding, the files as they are in the Proxymus _are_ encoded in a format that is useful only to the caching engine, and as such useless if copied and renamed on a normal PC. > -----Original Message----- > From: Gabriel E.
