You'd have to understand the politics, I didn't say where I worked with was
dollar wise with hot spares.
I will say I have thought of another reason for those companies that may be
charity wise, after 3 years or so depreciating the caching server we can
donate the server to a school/church or charitable organization sure it
won't be the fastest but at least we don't have to just toss the thing in
the trash. Meanwhile being a "intel" server we can upgrade the box easily
memory, hard disk, cpu if necessary.
All thoughts...
