Because of longest prefix match, this will work. (This is a "hole" in CIDR assignments; I keep track of such things and if you look at Figure 5 here http://www.multicasttech.com/status/cidr.html , you will see that there are > 100,000 of them.) The biggest problem is that many providers will not announce blocks longer than /24, but a /23 isn't, so you should be OK.
