Is it possible to set the BGP router identifier in Cisco to something other than what it auto selects? I have a router where the BGP router ID is being set to an internal number -while this does not seem to be impacting the BGP setup - I do not like that it is set as such. Any thoughts appreciated, Edward (p.s. thanks to Charles et al for the BGP help) -----Original Message----- From: Howard Jones [mailto:howard@...] Sent: Tuesday, June 21, 2005 12:28 PM To: isp-bgp@isp-bgp.com Subject: Re: [isp-bgp] Cisco alternatives for larger BGP routers? They gave the impression that while it had support, it was more for 'marketing check box' reasons than anything else. Certainly that appeared to be the case with our older Alteon L3 switches. Looking through the docs, it seems to be a reasonably flexible implementation though. Howard _______________ ______________ To unsubscribe via postal mail, please contact us at: Jupitermedia Corp.
