RE: [isp-bgp] BGP monitor
In what way do you want to represent the information? i.e. Graphs in
webpage - email with summary of stats; or are you looking to monitor
thresholds and events?

If the data in the mib has what you are looking for I would suggest use
mrtg / cacti / rrdtool to graph them -

If you are looking for statistical data relevant to the output of show
ip bgp peer or the like - then I would use an expect variant that ssh
into the router and grab the data -

The most efficient way depends on the specific details.

Hope this helps

Edward

Dear all

i need a script to monitor BGP sessions, peers established within my
network. (both iBGP and eBGP) . I got an MIB 1.3.6.1.2.1.15 for my
snmpquery. I wanted to know if any such scripts is available on the
internet which gives me a clear representation of BGP sessions , at
least prefixes rcvd / uptime . It would be better with a graphical
representation.
Please give me some light into any such softwares or scripts available

PS: i once got BGPmonitor.pl somewhere but that was giving problems to
run. It was perl based and using SNMPSession module.

Regards
Nitin
