If it is all Ethernet, just use a box running Linux or freebsd. Then run quagga on them www.quagga.net. I am handling about 60 peers and 3 transit providers that way. No need to use cisco on a budget. :) John :) -----Ursprüngliche Nachricht----- Von: Mathias Lüber [mailto:mat@...] Gesendet: Monday, February 21, 2005 12:42 AM An: isp-bgp@isp-bgp.com Betreff: [isp-bgp] Cisco 2821 and BGP?? Hi All! Can someone tell me if I can use a Cisco 2821 as a BGP-Router? Do I need a special IOS or something? Or which router would you advise me to buy, for a 4 mbps Ethernet-Connection to the ISP and to an IX. Please don't tell me, that I would need a 72xx! I just started my own business and I have not so much money at the moment... ;-) Thanks for your help!!
