Hi Rob, You can only announce PI assinged addresses via any ISP, so if ISP-1 is providing you with the addresses (owns them), then the answer is NO > Can the two sites still use the same > (public) ASN > even though there is no direct connection between the two? Nope! you can't have a setup this.. When you have a customer/user on SITE-A, that tries to reach network on SITE-B, the packets will be dropped by the BGP speaking router you have on SITE-B.. This is normal behavior, when you recieve prefix with origin of own AS via EBGP.. You need an IBGP session between the two sites.. If you don't have a dedicated physical link, you can maybe setup a GRE tunnel over the internet, and get the IBGP session up via this, but I wouldn't recomend this on long term solution. > > We have IP network blocks assigned by ISP-1 but I want to use them > primarily at SITE-B where there is no direct connection to ISP-1. Again.. You can't announce addresses owned by ISP-1 via another ISP. Best regards Joachim Jerberg Jensen -pls. disregard fuc*!G disclamer! Confidentiality.
