Hi BGP gurus, have a question for you : I currently have 2 sites connected together. The share the same ASN and provide redundant connections for each other via different ISPs. Before: --ISP-1 ----SITE-A -------- SITE-B ---- ISP-2 --> After: -- ISP-1----SITE-A SITE-B ---- ISP-2 --> My question is, what happens if/when I severe the conneciton between the two sites? Can SITE-B still advertise networks that are provided from ISP-1 and vice-versa? Can the two sites still use the same (public) ASN even though there is no direct connection between the two? We have IP network blocks assigned by ISP-1 but I want to use them primarily at SITE-B where there is no direct connection to ISP-1. Thoughts on this? thanks, Rob Genovesi Coastside Net To unsubscribe via postal mail, please contact us at: Jupitermedia Corp.
