I have to ask: why can't you use BGP?  Ask each ISP to propagate your 
prefix (I do hope you have /24 or shorter) and send you a default route 
only.  Minimal impact to a 2620XM (minimal impact to a 2501!), and it's 
(usually) not hard to get ISP B to treat your announcement as a backup.
