I'm interested to hear thoughts on Cisco's AD values, which prefer eBGP over all other protocols except EIGRP summary routes, vs. Juniper's protocol preference values which have BGP (no distinction between eBGP and iBGP) higher than everything except MSDP. When the same prefixes are in BGP and an IGP, when does it make sense to prefer one over the other? Or is it always a bad idea to have duplicate BGP/IGP routes like this in the first place? -Terry To unsubscribe via postal mail, please contact us at: Jupitermedia Corp.
