OK, so 1 prepend tiped you too far over. I would move to adjusting local pref on selected prefixes, on just one session (BGP session). More weight=more prefered. There are several ways to classify which prefixes to add/subtract weight to. If you know who your upstreams transit providers are, & they do not share the same transits, here is one way: Check syntax, I am dead tired ! ip as-path access list 1 permit ^<upstreamA's AS>_<upspreamA's transit AS_ (ie ^111_222_) (repeate as needed) ip as-path access list 2 permit ^<upstreamBs AS>_<upspreamBs transit AS_ (ie ^111_222_) ip as-path access list 3 permit .* (repeate as needed) route-map upstreamA permit 5 match as-path 1 set local pref 110 ! route-map upstreamA permit 10 match as-path 3 set local pref 100 ! route-map upstreamB permit 5 match as-path 2 set local pref 110 ! route-map upstreamBpermit 10 match as-path 3 set local pref 100 !
