Ok I figured it out. I have also reimported the BGP Learned routes with "clear ip bgp 15290 in" This new information does not seem to be in my route table. sh ip bgp 207.35.37.1 BGP routing table entry for 207.35.0.0/16, version 2990799 Paths: (2 available, best #1, table Default-IP-Routing-Table) Not advertised to any peer 15290 15290 577, (aggregated by 577 206.108.96.231) 206.222.72.249 from 206.222.72.249 (216.191.66.2) Origin IGP, localpref 100, valid, external, best 3602 1239 577 577 577, (aggregated by 577 206.108.96.226) 206.186.1.149 from 206.186.1.149 (206.186.255.216) Origin IGP, localpref 100, valid, external, atomic-aggregate This seems to show my desiered prefix (ie 2 15290) sh ip route 207.35.37.1 Routing entry for 207.35.0.0/16, supernet Known via "bgp 31984", distance 20, metric 0 Tag 15290, type external Last update from 206.222.72.249 4w2d ago Routing Descriptor Blocks: * 206.222.72.249, from 206.222.72.249, 4w2d ago Route metric is 0, traffic share count is 1 AS Hops 2 But this show as hops=2 and I figure it should be showing 3. Is "clear ip route" the right command? It seems a little harsh and I figure it will clear my static routes as well. Thanks, Serge. Serge Paquin wrote: Any references on doing this? I've seen lots of examples of prefixing my advertised path but non on padding my inbound path. I figured that's what I needed to do but I'm just unsure how to do it.
