[isp-bgp] BGP routes and point of failover
Hi All,

might sound like a strange question this, but consider the following
Link A - provider 1 - large capacity link
Link B - Provider 2 - half capacity of link a

Router is a 7206VXR with memory upgrade accepting all routes.

In the config i've weighted link A with 300 and link B with 50, so A is
preferred, and also link B has our AS prepended TWICE, so that it really is
just a failover link there.

However, what we're finding is provider 1 is screwing up frequently, and
making an error on their router advertisments, causing our connections to
fail when following that route (we get along their network several hops then
go into router loops).
The problem is that BGP doesn't switch us over in these cases, since the link
is still THERE.

Can anyone suggest how we can add a config to the router to handle this
eventuality?

Thanks in advance,

Andy.
