We are going to upgrade the IOS on a cisco router.

Could somebody let us know how to check if the
hardware requirement for an Cisco IOS? We are not the
registered user on www.cisco.com. Is that the only
channel?

We have searched over the Internet on the release
notes   for the IOS, but we could not find the release
notes.
