I have 3 7507's deployed now and have spent less than $4k each. The trick though is I bought everything off ebay and you need to know what to look for. The big advantage going this route is having dual rsp's and power supplies so that in case of failure of any one of them, it doesnt compromise network stability. Another bonus is the expandability you get, add 14 more T1's without buying another router :). Some bad points...chassis is a singlepoint of failure and takes a bunch of rack space. some real-world pricing I have seen: 7507 chassis (empty, 2xPS): $700 2 x RSP4 (256MB/20MB flash): $1800 ($900 each) dual FE card: $400 2 x 8 port serial cards: $300 ($150 each) --------------------------------------------------- Total: $3200 these are real-world prices I have paid off ebay recently. better deals can be had for each component if you shop smart enough. Also, you need to be very careful about researching whom you buy from on ebay. I have been lucky, but the potential for gettin screwed is a real one. > Thanks for your recommendations your welcome!
