Hi, We have two AS numbers which advertising different prefixes. Both connected to the same provider at US with DVB Platform. We need to back up each other. So we advertise prefixes which also advertised by the second AS in lower prefixes. For example AS 1 advertise : 192.168.0.0 /20 And As2 advertise : 192.168.0.0 /19 Both Advertise to the same Provider for example AS3 This is intended for redundancy. Since using DVB technology our provider need to re-configure their DVB setting and asking for our DVB mac-address, also new network blocks to be announced. It's working for a while, but not later. We experiencing high latency connection but we didn't see our MRTG Peak. Unfortunately their MRTG shows that our traffic is Peak. We compared both MRTGs, checking our catalyst port - traffic, and it wasn't peak. Finaly we found that high traffic which destination to the DVB, but not reach the catalyst or our router. So they removed their setting, and it's back to normal again. As3 confirmed that this redundancy idea will not working on DVB Platform which two ASs connected to the same provider. Well...
