Cell phones have had varying degrees of all you can eat for quite some time and it's really begun to take hold with all carriers offering all you can eat. I'm not sure of the extent with other carriers, but with Nextel you can do $99 unlimited everything. Many telecom carriers offer all you can eat, including long distance. Everything else I can think of, however, is as you describe. ---------- Mike Hammett Intelligent Computing Solutions http://www.ics-il.com ----- Original Message ----- From: "KingBloom" <lists@kingbloom.com> To: <isp-bandwidth@isp-bandwidth.com> Sent: Wednesday, April 30, 2008 9:35 AM Subject: Re: [isp-bandwidth] Om Malik supports throttling, gets flamed On Apr 30, 2008, at 9:27 AM, Mike Hammett wrote:What's confusing about it? You pay a flat rate for the privilege of having the service, call it a "minimum use charge", then you pay X for usage. That's a fair process to all, but confusing to the customer.
