No, technically they are not the same. There are several issues. Latency is one and heavy gamers don't like it. Two, are we just thinking that one "number" size fits all? I don't, I send people away knowing that I cannot deliver to them what they want over DSL. Sometimes I say, try DSL and change if it doesn't meet your needs, yet I wont lie to them and sell them something we cannot deliver over DSL. We deliver consistent reliable network access and speed. And again, to me, residential internet is kinda like popcorn. Sell as much as you can without lying to the consumer. We charge for handholding. Now, the question is, does the industry in general think that the consumer is stupid, and sell to that? or, is it just plain stupid how the industry has marketed to the consumer and now the smaller network orgs are stuck needing to look like the big guys that own their own unlimited potential last mile networks? - rh To unsubscribe via postal mail, please contact us at: Jupitermedia Corp.
