I wouldn't fire anybody. Consumers buy a service to use it, shocking I realize. Just because Gramma and the rest of the family only use their circuits for e-mail and home banking why should we punnish Jr and his family because they're big gamers, or P2P users, or Myth TV, on and on. Either sell unlimited services or don't, it's that simple. IF you actually don't want people to use their pipes then price it so they won't. Granted, your customers may jump ship but that's the great thing about the free market. I didn't mean to call Comcast out although they are probably one of the better known at this with their recent misadventures in bit torrent management.:) I've heard that VZ was doing a fair bit of this. I know not all carriers are, or at least one isn't.;) I could be smoking crack here (which is intirely possible) but didn't VZ get wacked for offering "unlimited" data plans that weren't on their wireless side and had to back away from that? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Peter R." <peter@...> To: <isp-bandwidth@isp-bandwidth.com> Sent: Monday, April 28, 2008 3:37 PM Subject: Re: [isp-bandwidth] Om Malik supports throttling, gets flamed It isn't just Comcast doing it.
