I'm using them at home; works great, and the rates are reasonable.

I've not tried it on a dialup connection, but I'm not sure I
understand the "high speed" 'net access requirement, given its
bandwidth utilization (< 30kb/s, avg).

While it's no replacement for POTS just yet (no E911, uncertain re:
LNP, etc), I'd have no qualms recommending it for a second line or
whatnot.

None that I've noticed, other than the usual FCC tariffs, etc.
