RE: [isp-australia] F5 - Big-IP Link Controller 1000 - comments?
Cant comment on the F5 product, but I have heard the RADWARE linkproofs
are a very good product with very good support.

Hey,

No experience with the Link Controllers themselves but a fair exposure
to Big IP's running as load balancers / L4 switches / SSL terminators
(1500's and 3400's). These are very, very capable boxes. Support has
been top notch also. When compared to other similar products (cisco,
foundry et al) they leave them for dead in terms of functionality and
reliability. To put this into context we ripped out a few brand new
ServerIron-100s and replaced them with F5 Big IP 3400s. Haven't looked
back since.

So, in short, no. But the F5 products I've used have been very
impressive. And the glowing red ball on the front does brighten up a
dull datacentre ;-)
