[isp-australia] sendmail 8.12 configuration issue - Domain of sender address rootXXXX does not exist
Hi!

I have a newly installed RH 9 box with sendmail 8.12 (sendmail-8.12.8-5.90)
which I have mostly configured.

The problem that I have is that I cannot send mail as 'root' to certain
sites. I think there's a misconfiguration on my end that's the root (pun
intended!) cause of the issue.

Sending email to the same sites as a non-root user on this machine is okay
though.

I have done some scouring for issues but to no avail. I've checked the
results of 'dig' and it looks like I have the correct 'A record' setup --
see below. I've also read up on RH 9 release notes and I believe I have
sendmail.mc (I've run a 'make -C /etc/mail' and restarted sendmail)
configured correctly:

	MASQUERADE_AS(`itginternet.net.au')dnl
	FEATURE(masquerade_envelope)dnl
	FEATURE(masquerade_entire_domain)dnl

I've ensured that /etc/hosts has the FQDN.

Any thoughts? Thx!
